Postural Alignment

Proper postural alignment, just like when we are standing, should be maintained regardless of the position we sleep in. A mattress that delivers proper postural alignment will support your spine, and you will wake up refreshed and rejuvenated.

Proper postural alignment means your head, shoulders, hips and heels are in alignment, allowing the spine to receive vital nutrients for a healthier back. Kingsdown sleep systems use state of the art materials with coil-on-coil design to provide postural alignment, and allow the body to rejuvenate during the night.

Your mattress should support the natural arches of your body, and not force it into an unnatural position. This all starts with our coil-on-coil design. The full coil boxspring is custom designed and engineered to work with a specific mattress to properly distribute body mass and weight. It not only enhances body conformance, but works as a shock absorber to lessen the pressure on the body and allow uninterrupted sleep for a longer period of time.

In contrast, a non-flexible or rigid foundation impedes the ability of the mattress to fully conform to your body’s contours.
